Happy Food

Bad days happen, it’s a part of life.  But is there a food you eat whenever you have a bad day to that automatically raises your mood?  I sure do.  Mine is a caramel frappe from McDonald’s.  These delicious McCafe delights are barely coffee and that is why it is beautiful.  You get a little bit of coffee flavor without having your taste buds burnt off from bitterness.  Disclaimer: I like sweets a lot and I this is the extent to my coffee consumption.  Caramel also makes a lovely combination to the coffee, which makes the caramel frappe my favorite of all the frappes.  At school I cannot get these whenever I wish, however, so I have resorted to a new addiction: chai tea latte addiction.  These are amazing and have zero coffee but still are a very soothing remedy to a bad day or even just a lethargic kind of day.  The downfall?  Chai tea lattes do not have the whipped cream and are just regular drinks whereas the caramel frappes are frozen drinks.  Both amazing but you get different things.  Caramel frappes, aka McGold, are more like a shake than a regular drink, and also you can get them in a variety of sizes depending on your day’s level of stress and/or sadness/badness.  I have tried Starbuck’s caramel frappe but it just isn’t the same as McDank’s version.  McDoogle’s has a certain quality that just makes it more appealing (probably because of how sugary it is but I don’t care much).  If you do not have a go to food I would suggest it because just enjoying a food you love can really can make your day better.  It doesn’t have to be junk food, it could be something healthy like a smoothie or a salad or just about anything, just as long as it makes you feel happy.
